apt package manager index by typing the following command in the terminal:
sudo apt update
Mozilla Firefox package is available to Linux Mint users as
snap package. So before we install Mozilla Firefox we should install Snappy package manager by installing
snapd-xdg-open packages run following command in the terminal:
sudo apt install snapd snapd-xdg-open
Now you are ready to install Mozilla Firefox. To install Mozilla Firefox run following command in the terminal:
sudo snap install firefox
Now verify the installation and check the version of Mozilla Firefox run following command in the command prompt:
The output should be:
Mozilla Firefox 72.0.1
Now launch the firefox browser by visiting
Activities -> type "mozilla firefox" or run following command in the terminal:
